Notes: On the nose, fresh fruit, caramel, vanilla, apples, and wood. At first sip there is a nice vanilla and caramel taste which makes way for a spicy rye and cinnamon taste to come in. The finish is moderate and has some bite, the familiar taste of anise, wood, and vanilla seem to linger. Ancient Ancient Age is definitely a value bourbon, but one that is very enjoyable. I have consistently kept this one around at all times and it is well enjoyed by friends and family when they visit. I enjoy it best on the rocks.
