FOUR ROSES UNVEILS COMMEMORATIVE DERBY FESTIVAL POSTER BOTTLE

This spring, you’ll find signs of the Derby Festival everywhere, including on bourbon bottles. Four Roses Bourbon has just released their commemorative Derby Festival Poster Special Selection Single Barrel Bourbon, featuring the image of the 2017 Derby Festival Official Poster designed by Ron Jasin, and a single barrel bourbon selected by Festival Officials.

“This year’s poster is a unique reflection of both the city and the Derby Festival. We’re honored to have it showcased in this way,” said Mike Berry, Kentucky Derby Festival President and CEO.

Representatives from the Kentucky Derby Festival, along with Master Distiller, Brent Elliott, participated in a barrel tasting and selection at the Four Roses’ Warehouse and Bottling Facility in December to choose their favorite barrel. With unanimous votes all around, the Four Roses barrel coded SN 47-5 M was selected. The bourbon chosen was bottled and specially labeled to include a miniature image of this year’s Festival poster. The special selection bottle will be available soon at local retailers for $34.00.
“Everyone has a different palate and taste preference, so it was exciting to have everyone select the same barrel,” said Brent Elliott, Four Roses Bourbon Master Distiller. “This bourbon is from our OBSV recipe, which is our high rye mashbill. We hope Festival and Four Roses fans will enjoy it.”

Fans can have their commemorative bottles signed by Master Distiller, Brent Elliott, and Poster Artist, Ron Jasin, on Thursday March 9. Both will be on hand at the Liquor Barn in Springhurst Towne Center for a special signing from 6 – 9 p.m.

Since 1956, the Derby Festival has worked to bring the community together in celebration. The Festival is an independent community organization supported by 4,000 volunteers, 400 businesses and civic groups, Pegasus Pin sponsorships and event participation. This involvement has made the Festival the largest single attended event in Kentucky and one of the leading community celebrations in the world.
