Name: Revelations Single Malt Corn Whisky
Nose: Smoke, Caramel, Wood, Leather, Cedar, Tobacco
Palate: Maple Syrup, Smoke, Caramel, Tobacco, Honey
Finish: Moderate, sweet, and spicy with flavors of rich maple, caramel, and cinnamon
Overall: This whisky is definitely smoky. From the nose to the finish there is plenty of smoke flavor. On the nose there is a moderate smoke aroma with some caramel, wood, and leather mixed in. The scent reminded me of the inside of a humidor. It was a subtle scent but filled with earthy aromas. On the palate there was a nice maple syrup flavor up front with some smoke and tobacco flavors coming in next. As the flavors mellowed a bit I was able to taste caramel and honey. The finish was moderate with some sweet and spicy flavors, no burn, and some cinnamon as the flavors faded. Overall, I was impressed with this whisky and unique flavors. The flavor changed directions throughout and went from sweet to spicy which I really enjoyed. If you can get your hands on a bottle of this, I would recommend you giving it a go, I think you will be impressed with the quality and flavor. It is priced at around $70 per bottle which is not in line with everyone’s budget but definitely worth a try if you are looking for something unique.
History: The desire to make this spirit is based on what a Scotsman would have had at hand in the early 1800’s. Mr Miliken wanted to make a Islay Scotch but here in America. So he malted the corn, smoked it with a fire of red oak. He added malted rye to give a “Wee bit ‘O Twist” and then aged it in used and new barrels, Revelations A Single Malt Corn Whisky, was born. Revelations is hand crafted in Marion, Virginia by Appalachian Mountain Spirits.

This cigar is one of the smoothest cigars I have smoked. It has a light flavor and smooth mouthfeel with a medium-bodied blend of Nicaraguan Habano longfillers and binders that are carefully selected to complement the rich flavor and aroma of the specially-aged wrapper.
