Bushmill’s Irish Whiskey Review

Bushmill's Irish Whiskey Our Rating: 86%
Bushmill’s Irish Whiskey

Name: Bushmill’s Original

ABV: 40%

Proof: 80

Age: 5 Years

Notes: Bushmill’s Original has a rich, warm inviting vanilla scent to it. At first sip we noticed the spicy vanilla and oak taste with a light sweet grain background. The finish seems to be fairly hot with some grain and honey tastes that linger. Overall this is a good bargain Irish whiskey that can be used in a wide variety of cocktails as well as on the rocks. It is also widely available and very inexpensive. We rated it just slightly below Jameson’s Irish whiskey which seems to have a slightly better taste and less of a bite.

History: Bushmill’s Original is a blend of triple distilled malt whisky and a light Irish grain whiskey that is aged for at least five years in used American bourbon barrels and sherry casks.
