Name: Eagle Rare
Bottled By: Buffalo Trace Distillery
ABV: 45%
Proof: 90
Age: 10 Years
Notes: Eagle Rare starts off with a burst of fruit and then quickly fades leaving you with just a hint of oak flavor. Eagle Rare is not a complex bourbon and definitely leaves you wishing for something more. The finish is a bit harsh considering the age of the bottle. If you have never tried Eagle Rare it may be something that interests you but given the current price there are better bottles to reach for.
History: Originally a 101-proof ten-year old Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, Eagle Rare from Seagram was created by master distiller Charles L. Beam and introduced in 1975. Eagle Rare has been distilled and bottled by several different companies of the years and is currently bottled by Buffalo Trace Distillery.
