The finish is rather long and starts with vanilla and caramel and ends with a nice dry oak taste. Rowan’s Creek is an amazing Bourbon that is best enjoyed neat. There is definitely something special about this Bourbon and is one we enjoy sharing with close friends and family. If you have not had the pleasure of trying this one you should put it towards the top of your list. You will most likely be glad you did.
History: Rowan’s Creek is produced in Bardstown, Kentucky and named for a creek that runs through the grounds of the site’s distillery. The creek is named after John Rowan, a statesman in Kentucky during the late 1700’s. John was also a well respected judge during his time. The creek that bears his name still carries limestone-filtered spring water. Rowan’s Creek was awarded a gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2005 and 2011.
