Review: When I go out, if I’m not drinking bourbon neat I will have an Old Fashioned. It has been my go to cocktail for several years now and one I really enjoy. I was very eager to try Bittermilk’s Old Fashioned Mixer and I am glad I did. I made my first one using bourbon and followed the instructions entirely. The result was one of the best Old Fashioned Cocktails I’ve made at home. The flavor was rich, bitter, strong, and classic, with some slight citrus, anise, nutmeg, and chocolate flavors. It was exactly what I think a classic cocktail should taste like. The mixer goes a long way and it really highlights the flavor of the bourbon. I also tried this with rye whiskey and it was just as good. What I enjoyed most about it was the thickness of the mixer and the overall quality. This is a excellent product and one that I would highly recommend to others. At $14.95 each, you can’t go wrong with this mixer.

They sourced all natural, organic, and unique ingredients. Each compound uses a bittering agent, a sweetener, and an acid. While playing off classic cocktails, they add complimenting botanicals and aromatics to brighten flavor and add special characteristics to each bottle. We use creative techniques to maximize flavor including roasting, burning, smoking, barrel aging, percolating and macerating.
