Name: Bulleit 10
Bottled By: Diageo
ABV: 45.6%
Proof: 91.2
Age: 10 Years
Notes: Bulleit 10 a nice sweet scent with lots of oak and fruit. Upon first sip I really tasted the oak and vanilla which felt very rich and smooth with no bite at all, there was a slight hint of fruit but not much. The finish was longer lasting than regular Bulleit with a strong taste of oak and a little cinnamon spice and very smooth. Bulleit 10 has a nice consistency and excellent flavor profile. I tried Bulleit 10 neat and also with a splash of water. The splash of water really brought out the vanilla flavor. I really enjoyed Bulleit 10 and have to say it was one of the best bourbons I’ve tried lately. I feel the extra 4 years in the barrel definitely did this one good and gave it a great flavor.
Price: When it comes to price I feel it is slightly higher than what it should be even though this is great tasting bourbon. I feel that some bourbon lovers will pass this one up and reach for regular Bulleit instead which is unfortunate considering the excellent quality of this product.
Overall: Bulleit 10 is great bourbon to enjoy on special occasions and would be a fine addition to any enthusiast’s collection. Bulleit 10 is easily approachable and can be enjoyed with anyone, even those who are new to the bourbon world. We highly recommend trying this one if you haven’t had the chance yet.
History: Bulleit 10 is the brand’s selected reserve. A select number of Bulleit Bourbon barrels were set aside to age for 10 years to see how the bourbon would develop. It is bottled at 91.2 proof and sold for around $45 dollars at most retailers.
