Notes: On the nose FEW Rye has a light, straightforward fruit aroma, mostly apples and pears. On the palate sweet corn is the most prominent flavor with some pear, apple, and citrus flavors. There are also some subtle wood and grain flavors. The finish is long with some corn, fruit, and spice flavors that linger. This is a very good rye whiskey, it does have a somewhat young taste, but overall it is a good whiskey. There is not a lot of bite with this rye as there are with others and it is a lot more mellow than the FEW bourbon. I tried this rye neat and I really enjoyed it. I didn’t try this one in a cocktail but I have no doubt it would do just fine. Overall, this is a good rye whiskey, but one that doesn’t have a lot of bite to it, which is something I really enjoy with other rye whiskies.
