Name: Jameson Irish Whiskey
ABV: 40%
Proof: 80
Notes: Jameson’s has a sweet grain and light oak scent. On the palate we can taste the grains and oak but with a slight spicy taste. The finish is moderate with a honey, vanilla, and smoky grain taste that slowly fades away. Jameson is another great bargain Irish whiskey. It is widely available and inexpensive. It can hold up in a number of different cocktails as well as on the rocks. I preferred the taste of Jameson’s over Bushmill’s but both are enjoyable Irish whiskeys. This is one that I keep stocked at the bar for when I want a change from bourbon and for the friend who prefers other whiskeys over bourbon.
