Ranger Creek Brewing & Distilling is delighted to announce that they have won two Silver Medals in the 2014 Whiskies of the World Awards for Ranger Creek .36, their flagship Texas Bourbon, and Ranger Creek .36 White, their new white whiskey.
Whiskies of the World Expo, one of the largest and most popular consumer whisky tasting events in the US, has today announced the competition results of the WoW Awards. The awards, launched this fall, are a new venture by the Whiskies of the World team supported by the expertize of its London-based parent company, the International Wine & Spirit Competition.
This year’s essential role of judging included a blind tasting, consisting of a panel of Texas tastemakers, all influential figures in the Texan drinks industry. All the spirits were judged on a 100-point basis, concentrating on appearance, aromatics, flavor, mouthfeel and finish. The highly esteemed industry experts then selected Ranger Creek .36 and .36 White and awarded them both the coveted 2014 Whiskies of the World Awards Silver Medal. This award marks the newest in a long line of awards for Ranger Creek .36. It is the first competition and first award for Ranger Creek’s new .36 White.
Winning two Silver Medals in a competition like Whiskies of the World puts San Antonio’s Ranger Creek in the same company as some of the most recognized whiskey names across the globe. Other notable silver medalists included Knob Creek Bourbon, Woodford Reserve Double Oaked, and Russell’s Reserve 10 Year Old Straight Kentucky Bourbon.
