Experience a dining and interactive cooking event with renowned Chef de Cuisine Patrick Roney of The Oakroom. The Oakroom is the award winning restaurant in Louisville’s Seelbach Hotel, which was chosen by author F. Scott Fitzgerald as the backdrop for the wedding of Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan in his novel The Great Gatsby. Chef Patrick will demystify the art of cooking with bourbon and you will leave with an understanding of how bourbon can complement a dish and tips for its use. After participation in the preparation of your delicious bourbon inspired meal, you’ll sit down and enjoy it with signature bourbon cocktails made by a well known local mixologist. Master Distiller Willie Pratt and Distiller Pam Heilmann will be at the event to talk Bourbon and share their favorite bourbon recipes. Each guest will receive their very own Michter’s apron and the evening’s recipes. This culinary experience will be held rooftop of the Frazier Museum with the Ohio River as a beautiful backdrop (event will move indoors in case of inclement weather). Note: each guest will be required to fill out a questionnaire for the Chef to clarify any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Full article here.
