ROK Drinks, the beverages division of ROK Stars PLC, has announced the acquisition of Northern Californian-based Amador Distillery, makers of the Engine 49 range of premium spirits.
“With the rapid growth of our drinks business worldwide, we’ve been looking to further strengthen and control the supply and the range of our already successful spirits portfolio beyond Bogart’s English Gin and UB Irish Whiskey into other exciting categories.” Said Jonathan Kendrick, Chairman and CEO of ROK Stars PLC. “To have found and acquired the outstanding Amador Distillery is a major development in our quest to offer distributors, retailers and consumers the best portfolio of premium spirits available.”
Offering multi award-winning ABK Beer from its 700 year old brewery in Bavaria as well as Bogart’s English Gin and UB Irish Whiskey, all of which are now sold internationally, ROK Drinks will increase their spirits portfolio over the next few months to include eye-catching premium vodka and rye whiskey brands.
“The US is our primary market for the continued growth of ROK Drinks, which makes the acquisition of Amador Distillery particularly significant as we can now develop our highly innovative portfolio of spirit brands, details of which we will announce in the near future.” Added Kendrick.
ROK Stars PLC (Ticker Symbol ‘RKS’) was co-founded by John Paul DeJoria, known as ‘America’s favourite entrepreneur,’ and Jonathan Kendrick. John Paul DeJoria is best known as the co-founder of Paul Mitchell, the largest privately held hair care business in North America, as well as being co-founder of Patron tequila, the world’s Number 1 premium tequila brand.
