Only 60 Bottles of Ranger Creek’s 2015 Single Barrel Bourbon Available
SAN ANTONIO, TX, November 10, 2014 – Last holiday season Ranger Creek released the oldest bourbon aged in Texas. On Sat, Nov, 28 Ranger Creek will follow up last year’s release by once again releasing the oldest bourbon aged in Texas. The 2015 vintage of Ranger Creek .36 Single Barrel Texas Bourbon is nearly 5 years old.
Last year’s release quickly won Best in Class and Best in Show at the 2015 American Craft Spirits Association judging competition along with Best in Class at the 2015 Whiskies of the World. The limited edition bourbon sold out quickly. The 2015 release is even more limited than last year’s. With demand for the bourbon at very high levels, the distillery expects it to be sold out almost immediately upon release.
Only 60 bottles of the 2015 vintage of .36 Single Barrel will be available for sale through the distillery. Due to high demand, Ranger Creek has created a lottery system in order to allocate the bottles fairly. Anyone that’s interested in purchasing a bottle of the limited edition bourbon can sign up for the lottery for free. Ranger Creek will draw 60 names at random to determine who will be able to purchase a bottle. Bottles will be $85 and there’s a limit of one per person. Winners will need to be available on Sat, Nov 28 to come to the distillery between 5:00 pm and 9: 00 pm to purchase their bottle. Lottery sign up is available through Ranger Creek’s website at www.drinkrangercreek.com.
The 2015 vintage of .36 Single Barrel is a special, limited edition release of the first 2 big barrels that were filled at Ranger Creek. Each bottle is packaged in a limited edition display box and has the barrel number and unique bottle number hand written on it, along with the age statement and vintage. The term “Single Barrel” means all of the whiskey came from one individual barrel, as opposed to multiple barrels being vatted together for a large bottling run. Single Barrel bourbon means the barrels were hand selected and painstakingly bottled one at a time.
About Ranger Creek
Ranger Creek Brewing & Distilling is a combined brewery/distillery handcrafting beer and bourbon in San Antonio, TX one batch at a time. They are the only microbrewery in San Antonio, one of a few combined brewery/distilleries in the U.S., and one of the only combined operations making both beer and bourbon. They focus on interesting recipes and use local ingredients from the state of Texas as much as possible. The company uses much of the same equipment to make both beer and bourbon, which is possible because in order to make bourbon, beer must be made first. They encourage visitors to San Antonio to sign up for one of their regularly scheduled tours and come by for a visit.
